Jack Harley Tutoring – Policies (2025)

Attendance & Commitment

Weekly attendance is a core expectation of the tutoring program to ensure steady progress.
Students should aim to attend all scheduled lessons, and no more than two lessons per term should be missed.

Attendance at each booked lesson is the student’s responsibility.
If a student chooses not to attend or is absent without adequate notice, this will be considered a delivered lesson, as preparation and time have been allocated for that session.

Lesson Payments

  • Term Payments: Payment is made in advance for the full term to secure a recurring lesson time.

  • Holiday Lessons: During school holidays, lessons can be booked and paid for on a per-lesson basis.

  • Late Payments: If payment is not received within 7 days of invoice, the student’s reserved time may be forfeited and offered to another student.

Discount Policy:
Discounts for students taking two or more lessons per week only apply when the entire term payment is made upfront.
If payment is made on a per-lesson or partial-term basis, the standard single-lesson rate applies.

Refund & Payment Protection

All term payments are non-refundable once lessons have commenced or resources have been provided, whichever occurs first.
This includes any lesson preparation, materials, notes, essay feedback, or communication provided in advance of scheduled sessions.

Refunds are only available in verified cases of duplicate or erroneous transactions, and will only be processed back to the same account that made the original payment once verified.
Requests based on payment method changes, funding or scholarship requirements, or change of mind do not qualify for a refund.

If a student chooses not to attend a scheduled or rescheduled lesson, the payment for that lesson remains valid and is not refundable or transferable.

Missed Lessons

  • A minimum of 3 days’ notice is required to reschedule or credit a lesson.

  • With adequate notice, lessons can be rescheduled to another time during the same or following week (Tuesday–Thursday) or credited toward the next term.

  • Missed lessons with less than 3 days’ notice are forfeited and will not be credited or refunded.

Cancellation

You may cancel your enrolment at any time.
However, prepaid term payments are non-refundable, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid period.
Any outstanding booked lessons or provided materials are considered delivered upon cancellation.

Group Lessons

  • Group sizes range from 2–7 students.

  • If one student in a 2-person group is absent, the lesson time for the remaining student will be halved.

  • Group lessons follow the same 3-day notice and credit rules as individual lessons.
